On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is the pattern of optimizing individual web pages in order to rank higher and drive more relevant traffic in google or Search engines.

On-Page Activities

Title Tag

Title tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page. Title tags are displayed on search engine results pages as the clickable headline for a given result, and are important for usability, SEO, and social sharing. The title tag of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise description of a page’s content. Title tag can’t be same on all pages . Google typically displays the first 50–60 characters of a title tag so try to keep it within it.

Meta Description

The meta description is an HTML attribute that provides a brief summary of a web page. Search engines such as Google often display the meta description in search results, which can determine click-through rates. Description should be between 50–160 characters. It can be any length, but Google generally cut short snippets to ~155–160 characters.

Alt Text

Alt text (alternative text), also known as “alt attributes”, “alt descriptions”, or technically incorrectly as “alt tags,” are used within an HTML code to describe the appearance and function of an image on a page.

Robots.txt

Robots.txt is a text file webmasters create to instruct web robots (typically search engine robots) how and what to crawl pages on their website.

Schema.org Markup

Schema.org (often called Schema) is a semantic vocabulary of tags (or microdata) that you can add to your HTML to improve the way search engines read and represent your page in SERPs. for more you can check it on google here https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/intro-structured-data#guidelines

Http Status Codes

An HTTP status code is a server response to a browser’s request. When you visit a website, your browser sends a request to the site’s server, and the server then responds to the browser’s request with a three-digit code: the HTTP status code. You can use some of these status codes to help search engines and people access your site,  a 301 redirect, for example, will tell bots and people that a page that has moved somewhere else permanently.

URLs

A well-crafted URL provides both humans and search engines an easy-to-understand indication of what the destination page will be about. hence your search engine ranking could also boost.

Canonicalization

A canonical tag (aka “rel canonical”) is a way of telling search engines that a specific URL represents the master copy of a page.

XML Sitemap

A good XML sitemap acts as a roadmap of your website that leads Google to all your important pages. XML sitemaps can be good for SEO.
