Trujet was founded on 14th march 2013 and the first commercial flight was launched from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on 12th July 2015 to Tirupati on the eve of the auspicious day that is Godavari Pushkaralu,

Primarily it is aimed at pilgrims and middle class traveler to destinationS. With the five aircrafts, Trujet operates in nineteen destinations in India and planning to introduce two more aircraft soon. In august 2014, the promoters started negotiations to sell a majority stake in the airline to Hyderabad based Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) in order to raise funds for the operations. MEIL holds 90 per cent stake in the airline.

They have planned to extend to more cities in India very soon.  Secondary hubs of Trujet are Chennai International Airport and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Tuejet has obtained fresh permission to fly in 20 additional routes. These include Ahmedabad to Porbandar, Jaisalmer to Nashik, Jalagaon, Gauhati to Koch Bihar, Burhanpur, Teju and Tejapur among others. They have till now carried more than 10 lakh passengers to their destination with reaching the one million passengers mark on January 19 in Goa to Hyderabad route. Trujet currently has five aircrafts connecting 19 destinations in India with 32 services a day. The air carrier is planning to add seven more aircraft soon.

Trujet is now reaching a new level to serve their passengers with a whole new approach. To encourage the Indian population toward air traveling, Trujet is offering exclusive fares starting from Rs 599. They provide excellent services, departure and arrival on time, cleanliness, good spacious seats and quality food and beverage on plane. For in-flight entertainment, they have TV, films and WiFi.
